A new species of filter-feeding pterosaur, Bakiribu waridza, has been discovered in northeastern Brazil, challenging previous assumptions about pterosaur diets and ecosystems in the Early Cretaceous period.
The fossilized remains of Bakiribu waridza were found in regurgitalite, fossilized vomit from a prehistoric predator, providing a unique snapshot of predator-prey dynamics and offering insights into the evolutionary history of flying reptiles.
