Obese father, small baby: how the father’s weight affects the size of the newborn and his future health

A study carried out in Brazil with 89 father-mother-baby families points to a association between paternal overweight and newborn birth weight so that the higher the body mass index (BMI) of the father, the lower the weight of the baby at the time of birth, according to their authors published in the ‘Journal of Obesity’. USP study prevents COVID-19 virus from infecting cells
