An international group of researchers including Brazilian scientists affiliated with the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) have succeeded in producing a new material with these characteristics. Researchers during São Paulo State University’s Botucatu Medical School (FMB-UNESP) rescued MetS in 57.8% of a women analyzed with vitamin D ineptitude (20-29 nanograms per milliliter of blood) or scarcity (less than 20 ng/ml) and in usually 39.8% of participants with sufficient vitamin D (30 ng/ml or more).
