The Regional Forum on AI in Latin America and the Caribbean is being held by UNESCO from December 12th-13th 2019, in São Paulo (Brazil). The overall purpose of this event is to raise awareness and promote reflection on the opportunities and challenges that AI and its correlated technologies pose to societies, governments, organizations and citizens. The Regional Forum is coorganized by Regional Center for Studies on the Development of the Information Society (Cetic.br) of Brazilian Network Information Centre (NIC.br), Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br), Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE) and Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology.
