FAPESP Agency – The British Council is accepting applications until 15 September for the call “HE Connects: UK-Americas Partnerships for TNE and Internationalisation” launched under the Going Global Partnership programme.

Targeting higher education institutions in the United Kingdom, Brazil and Mexico, the announcement seeks to build long-term collaborations and relationships to accelerate higher education internationalization activities. The focus is on strengthening capacities and building strategic relationships to address the institutional challenges of student recruitment, research development, mutual recognition of qualifications and other priorities in transnational education.

Activities offered under the program must meet the requirements of the United Kingdom, Brazil and Mexico, and meet certain conditions, namely: supporting and contributing to national and state organizations embedded in solving local problems and using the United Kingdom’s transnational education to institutionalize national reforms; Identify and contribute to clear benefits and implications for higher education stakeholders, including leadership, staff, students and the wider community; Establish partnerships that further promote social and gender inclusion in the higher education sector; Contribute to country needs through structural and institutional changes and relate them to the general objectives of the Going Global Partnership programme; among others.

The initiative will support eight projects over 12 months starting in November this year. Bilateral projects between the UK and Brazil or the UK and Mexico can apply for a maximum of £20,000; Projects with trilateral partnerships with Brazil and Mexico can compete for up to £30,000; And projects with two partners from the same country can apply for up to £25,000.
