summary: Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) treatment for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) can alleviate the accelerated telomere shortening caused by this condition. Telomeres, the protected ends of chromosomes, are involved in aging and tend to shorten earlier in OSA.
