The Thematic project “MicroRNAs, extracellular vesicles and stem cells: physiology, pathophysiological role and therapeutic potential in renal diseases” supported by FAPESP –Brazil (grant number 2015/233459) opens a postdoctoral position (use this link for more details about grants and postdoctoral fellowship: fapesp.br/en/5427).
This project will be conducted at the Laboratory of Clinical and Molecular Investigation coordinated by Prof. Ita Pfeferman Heilberg, at the Nephrology Division from the Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP) in Brazil. It will be focused on the area of Clinical and Experimental Research of Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD). The aim of the project is to evaluate "MicroRNAs potentially involved in an experimental model of polycystic renal disease"

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality whose Ph.D degree had been obtained in the last 4 years in the Nephrology field. The candidate must present sense of initiative, independence and self-motivation in Research; advanced English knowledge and availability of scientific exchange with national and international research centers.
The researcher is expected to have had previous experience in the main subjects involved in basic research: biochemical analysis, cell culture, gene expression analysis, immunoassays, cell signaling, microRNA isolation and animal models of renal diseases.
