FAPESP Agency – The Thematic Project “ Late assessment of physical, psychological and cognitive effects in a cohort of patients surviving hospitalization for COVID-19 in a tertiary university hospital: a multidisciplinary approach ” has a postdoctoral opportunity with a scholarship from FAPESP. The registration deadline is November 24th.

The activities are conducted at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (FM-USP). The position requires a doctorate completed less than seven years ago, fluent English and an excellent academic record.

The postdoctoral fellow will evaluate the clinical response of a group of individuals with depression and chronic pain associated with post-COVID-19 syndrome to treatment with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and will investigate neurophysiological measures that can be used as predictive biomarkers for this treatment.

The postdoctoral opportunity is open to Brazilians and foreigners. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral Scholarship worth R$9,047.40 per month and a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the scholarship to cover unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity.
