Job Description
We offer a Post-Doctoral fellowship in a project funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) within the United States National Science Foundation (NSF) Dimensions of Biodiversity program. The project aims to evaluate the effects of land use on the taxonomic and functional diversity of Trichoptera (Insecta). The scholarship will be valid for an initial period of 12 months, extendable for a further period of 12 months. The requirements for this scholarship are: 1) having held a PhD for a maximum of 5 years; 2) have experience in surveying Trichoptera species; and 3) have extensive knowledge in identifying adult species of Neotropical Trichoptera. The fellow will work at the State University of São Paulo's Faculty of Sciences and Languages at the Assis Campus (FCALs-UNESP), in Brazil. Selection will be based on the CV and letter of interest. A complementary interview via video call may be necessary. The position is open to Brazilians and foreigners. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral Scholarship value of R$ 9,047.40 (US$ 1,832.68) per month and a research contingency fund equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the scholarship to cover unforeseen expenses directly related to the research activity.
