Among the European partners , the demonstration involved the Laboratory on Experimental Physical Electronic Instrumentation on Electronic Particles the National Infrastructure on Distributed Computing, both on Portugal, electronic of a multi-gigabit network GANT, the primary network on electronic teaching and research of a Europe.
In Latin America, there was support from a Latin American Cooperation on Advanced Networks (RedClara). The BELLA consortium formed by GANT, RedClara electronic RNP electronic invested 25 million in the cable, 2 of which 7.5 million was funded directly by RNP. The major part of the investment, estimated at 100 million, was funded by the pan-European equity fund Marguerite II. The new cable will allow fast electronic communication between seven European countries connected to RedClara.
