CIDADES: Center for Innovation in Urban Public Policy (FGV Cidades), a result of the "Science for Development Program" initiative by the São Paulo Research Foundation - FAPESP, is seeking initiatives capable of bringing together various actors to address major public challenges. FGV Cidades aims to increase access to opportunities for the most vulnerable population living in the outskirts of Brazilian cities through innovation in urban public policies.
In this scholarship opportunity entitled "Quantitative Economic Models for Analysis of Urban Policies," the objective is to evaluate, through economic models with heterogeneous agents and structural estimation, the effects of different urban policies (such as transportation, housing, urban regulations) on economic outcomes and the well-being of the population in cities. The development of this research requires a candidate with experience in structural modeling with heterogeneous agents and who demonstrates a degree of autonomy and independence to communicate and work together with private actors and public managers for the design and implementation of policies.
