Since 2022, a joint seed funding program has been in place between Freie Universität Berlin and FAPESP (Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo), the research funding foundation of the state of São Paulo.
The Sprint (São Paulo Researchers in International Collaboration) program offers researchers from FU Berlin the opportunity to develop project proposals together with researchers from universities or institutions from the state of São Paulo, which are subsequently submitted to FAPESP and the DFG. As part of this seed funding, only mobility costs are covered.
