FAPESP Agency – FAPESP and the Brazilian Embassy in France launched the second call for proposals for the Readership Program.
The initiative seeks to enable researchers and professors from the State of São Paulo, as well as doctoral and post-doctoral fellows from the Foundation, to teach Portuguese in French university institutions, as well as develop academic, pedagogical and/or cultural activities related to the Brazil, counting on the Brazilian Embassy to coordinate actions with French universities.
The following universities participate in the initiative: Clermont Auvergne, La Rochelle, Toulouse (Jean Jaurès), Bordeaux Montaigne, Paris-Est Créteil (AEI International School), Sorbonne, Paris 8 Vincennes – Saint-Denis and Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris 1).
To be eligible for the possibility of funding from FAPESP, doctoral and post-doctoral fellows must meet the criteria for the Research Internship Abroad Grant modality (BEPE).
PhD researchers linked to teaching and research institutions in the State of São Paulo must meet the criteria for the Research Scholarship Abroad modality (BPE).
It is important that candidates check the eligibility criteria in the rules for the respective modalities. It is necessary to have an undergraduate or postgraduate diploma or certification in linguistics, languages or related areas, recognized in accordance with Brazilian legislation, and have an academic degree, at least a master's degree.
The workload will be 20 to 30 hours per week, divided between class hours and other cultural, academic, scientific and/or pedagogical activities, according to the demands of each participating university. The duration will be up to 12 consecutive months, non-extendable, from the beginning of the 2025 academic period.
The São Paulo researcher or the advisor of the interested FAPESP scholarship holder must send the application to FAPESP by October 11th, through the Management Support System (SAGe).
