Treatment with a bile acid derivative called TUDCA (tauroursodeoxycholic acid) may reduce metabolic abnormalities associated with Alzheimer’s disease, such as changes in food intake and body weight, and improve the quality of life of the patient, according to the results of a study conducted at the university of Campinas (UNICAMP) in the state São Paulo, Brazil.
