Coronavirus that causes COVID-19 is detected in tears sampled by ocular swabs, stated a new study.

The researchers analyzed samples from patients diagnosed with the disease by conventional methods and admitted to the Hospital, according to the study published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine.

Presence of COVID-19 Virus in Tears "Initially, we set out to develop a diagnostic test based on an easier collection of material without causing patient discomfort. Nasal and nasopharyngeal swabbing is not only unpleasant but also often performed incorrectly. For people with a nasal septum deviation, it can be a problem," said Luiz Fernando Manzoni Lourencone, the last author of the article.

India's COVID-19 vaccination program has been launched. It currently uses the vaccines Covishield and Covaxin. There are some issues and challenges that need to be overcome in order to vaccinate all Indians.
