FAPESP Agency – Ilum Escola de Ciência, linked to the National Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), in Campinas, offers 40 vacancies for the second class of the bachelor’s degree in science and technology. Registration can be made until Friday (16/12) next week.
Lasting three years, full-time, the undergraduate course is free and puts into practice innovative pedagogical proposals and methodologies for the training of scientists and researchers connected with the reality of current scientific research and with the challenges of the future.
Of the 40 vacancies offered, half will be for students who attended high school in public schools. All approved students will have free housing, food and transportation. The school also offers an English course and a laptop for personal use during the entire period they are at Ilum, with all the necessary software for academic activities installed.
Registration is free and must be completed using the form available at site When enrolling, students, in addition to providing their data, must write a statement of interest, a text describing why they want to study science at Ilum. The next step is to inform the score obtained in the National High School Examination (Enem).
Candidates who studied in the public network ranked among the top ten in physics, mathematics, chemistry and biology Olympics will have a bonus of 300 points in the selection process, just by presenting proof of medals.
200 candidates will be pre-selected for the last selection phase: the individual interview. The interviews will be carried out remotely and will assess the student’s knowledge, skills, abilities and availability to complete the full course period. Those who obtain the best score considering all phases will be approved. The list will be announced at the end of February 2023 and classes are scheduled to start in March.
