Thursday (8 / 15) - According to the new report compiled by 345 scientists in Brazil, the average temperature across the country will rise at least 6 degrees Fahrenheit by the year 2100, as compared to the end of the 20th century. In the worst case scenario, it can reach up to 12 degrees Fahrenheit. This projection is based on estimates of future concentrations of greenhouse gases and sulfate particles in the atmosphere. The study is part of the first national evaluation report of the Brazilian Panel on Climate Change and has been anticipated in this months issue of the Pesquisa Fapesp journal.
