Two recently discovered Amazonian fish species are endangered

Two Amazonian fish species are facing extinction due to deforestation, although they have just been discovered.
In a new study, scientists described the two new fish: one with orange-red fins and the other so small that it is officially considered “miniature”.
Both species inhabit the waters located in the Amazon rainforest about 25 miles north of the Brazilian city of Apuí.
